Nothing says Fall like a trip to the pumpkin Patch!

Fall is nothing short of wonderful in MN. Those of us who live here cherish every last minute of the mild weather, beautiful colors, longer days and fun outdoor activities. We soak it all in because we know that in not too many weeks/days that mild weather will turn cold, the beautiful colors will fade into all things white, and the days will become short. I feel like its almost a game to see how many reasons we can come up with to be outside having fun. This last weekend was no exception. We headed North to Maddens for the closing weekend of our 81st season. We had lots of good quality time with Meo, Papa, uncle Ben, aunt Becky, Cousin Beau and the extended Reineck crew.
Charlie and Beau had fun on Saturday morning at the Pumpkin Patch. The tradition goes that all the little kiddies get to pick out their very own pumpkin that they will carve, decorate and imagine up the best pumpkin they can to be entered into the annual pumpkin carving contest. I wish I had pictures of the winners ( unbelievable!!) There were pumpkins eating pumpkins, pumpkin cheeseburgers, pumpkin snowmen...and the list goes on. Charlie wasn't able to carve his this year but watch out next season! Charlie couldn't figure out the straw for the life of him and Beau was enjoying his jelly filled donut (done up Halloween style). Nothing but the cutest from the Maddens bakery.
Well first Halloween down...on to Thanksgiving, Christmas and to top things off a first birthday just after the new year. Things are looking up.
